Hello!
My name is Nerys Medina, the blog will probably post under my nickname which is Syren (just read it backward and it's my proper name). I don't look my age and I usually make a game out of people trying to guess it, so I'll leave as a mystery for now.
I started studying Modern Languages majoring in English, after I transferred from the Arts' Department in 2017, being 2019-1 my 5th semester in this career. I like languages in general, except French, for some reason the two of us have an ongoing complicated relationship since I was in elementary school, and won't bore you with the details. Going back to my liking of languages, I also studied Japanese many years ago (and still somewhat fluent in it) and recently some Italian, which I have to keep practicing in order not to forget it. I plan to study a few more languages in the future when I have some free time on hand.
I like reading books, writing short stories in English and Spanish (I used to write long ones, but fate was a cruel mistress towards them), listening to music (English, Japanese, Italian, and some other that I find interesting), play video games, watch tv shows here and there and once in a while I play the childhood music instrument known as a recorder; the simpler companion (or maybe cousin) of the harmonious flute. I'm not good at reading music sheets but I can come up with some melodies by ear.
I'll try to do my best in this subject and posts regularly on this blog. I have many ideas that I want to try and I hope that they will be well received. With nothing else to say, I conclude my short bio here.
Good night.
