Unit 2 Honesty is the Best Policy

I really think our behavior is always telling others about how honest we are.

Policy: a principle of behaviour, conduct etc. thought to be desirable or necessary, especially as formally expressed by a government or other authoritative body. (*).

Something I liked about this unit was the listening on page 28 and 29, the interview with the Psychiatrist, Paul Ekman, specially The Nine Reasons of Lying:

1. To avoid punishment.
2. To get a reward.
3. To protect another person of being punish.
4. To protect yourself from physical harm
5. To win admiration.
6. To get out of an awkward situation.
7. To avoid embarrassing situations.
8. To maintain privacy.
9. To get power over others people.
