Unit:3. The Bold and the bashful

Self esteem has a lot to do with the personality of a person. Is very common to that people that people with low self esteem are shy while people with high self esteem are very outgoing or bashful.

The characteristics of a shy person are:

- Reticence: they don’t like or avoid to communicate with others.
-Aloofness: shy people present this kind of behavior, in a group of people they are distant they don’t share with other. For example when there is a group of people taking and sharing they remain silent and quiet and are always in their.
- Insecure: they are insecure about their appearance and the clothes that they use, in some situations they think that they are not well dressed for the occasion.
- And others...

Is for these characteristics that many cases people make misattributions of shy people and think that they are condescending or unfriendly.

But bashful people are the opposite. They are:

- Extrovert
-Outgoing
-Talkative
-Sociable
-Friendly
-Nice

Being bashful is something that shy people would like to do but  is very difficult for them because shyness is an undesirable situation hard to overcome.
