Unit 4 The Tipping Point

I asked two people what they think about what is a tipping point, they said:

1. I think it's kind of an important advice or something.

2. I think that the earth has already passed the tipping point in term of the global warming. We could do some activities to change a little bit the effects.

According to the Professor the best definition for Tipping Point  could be: a moment of changes in your life.

Tipping Point is the time at which a change or an effect cannot be stopped. (From Cambridge online dictionary).

It means that talking about something that happens several times is not a tipping point.

On another way about this unit is need to add some words to my vocabulary such as:

Maven: people who know a lot and talk a lot about particular subject.

Word of mouth: related to people telling people.

Got a hold of: contacted; communicated with.

Win (someone) over: persuade someone to do something.

Root: cause; source.

Go a long way toward: succeed in.

Hold: is true.
