Workplace Privacy

It is supposted that each person is entitled to have a private life and to their own privacy; But nowadays lots of companies are using the famous surveillance cameras ¨to deter theft ¨ But they really use them to monitor the employees. I have known about one company where the bathrooms are locked and any employee that needs to use it, must go to the secretary to pick up the key and certain amount of toilet paper, ¨They said that is just a way to keep the bathroom clean¨ but the secretary is aware how much time you spend and how many times you go there. Litlle by little those employers are taking away the employees privacy and benefits willy-nilly, most of them don´t even stop for a while to think about that issue. This is sad because many of the employees aren´t aware of the damage that this causes to their well-being and it also affect the trust that they have towards that company. Once you are put in a spot where you have to watch out even to breath freely your workplace becomes a slavery center instead of a healthy environment scenario.
